There’s an article on Kotaku about Ian Bogost’s satirical Facebook game Cow Clicker that is well worth reading. It explains how Ian’s attempt at satire turned on itself and became dangerously successful. You should also read Ian’s own commentary on the game.

A friend recently pointed me to the online book Invisbile Ink: A Practical Guide to Building Stories that Resonate, by screenwriter Brian McDonald. I’m about half way through it and finding it very clear and easy to read. If you’re interested in the craft of writing, I highly recommend it (plus it’s free!).
